Did you guys watch SNL with Justin Timberlake from Saturday yet? If not, go watch it. I promise it’s worth it. He brings the amazing humor back to this show that’s been missing for quite some time. He performed, too – Jay Z in tow. I knew I would end up liking “Suit and Tie” after initially hating it. How can one possibly hate this?
The whole episode was hysterical. The likes of Steve Martin, Chevy Chase, Martin Short, Tom Hanks, Alec Baldwin, and I’m sure others I’m forgetting, made cameos and welcomed Justin into the “Five Timers Club” since this was his 5th hosting gig. Andy Sandberg came back and the duo reprised their roles as the “d*ck in a box” singers. Justin also brought back his “bring it on down” sketch, dressed up as tofu for Veganville. So, in short, he brought sexy back. Sorry, had to throw that in there.
You’ve probably heard about his “feud” with Kanye West by now since it’s been exhausted, but just in case you haven’t, I’ll exhaust it some more. During his performance of “Suit and Tie” on SNL, Justin changed one line of the lyrics to “My hit’s so sick, got rappers acting dramatic.” There has been talk that this was a blow to Kayne West in response to his dig at Justin’s song at a recent concert. JT was on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon the other night and when Jimmy asked him about the lyric change he brushed it aside and joked “Did it seem that way? I don’t remember that. Did I change the line?” He added that he loves Kayne West and told everyone to “keep calm and Kayne on.” Not surprisingly, Justin showed himself to be much classier than Kayne. It shouldn’t even matter. Anyone, especially J, is allowed to say whatever they damn well please to and about Kanye West. Why are we still respecting him as a human?
My love for JT is growing and growing, if you couldn’t tell. This guy is hysterical, sexy (did it again), and seems legitimately nice. Why you with Jessica Biel, bro?
p.s. Are Girl Scout cookies still being sold/available? I didn’t purchase any tag-a-longs. Or thin mints. Or everything else.
